Chris Rollins told me that you need several inga trees from different sources (sibling trees and individual trees supposedly don't produce heavily according to him) to get good fruit set, I was wondering if i could get the same effect if I just planted one tree of each of the 5 species I have in a group. Anyone know anything about this?
Oscar,in your opinion which inga species do well on its own as a single tree?

I can only say the Inga feuillei sometimes has self sterility. That doesn't mean that there might be occasional trees on their own that self pollinate ok. Just means if you want to make certain to get good fruit set with this species you better have more than one tree.
Arvind, My Inga feuillei produces extremely well as a stand alone tree.
