Title: Cherry Tree Grafting
Post by: swapnil.tailor on March 07, 2018, 12:40:42 PM
Want to check, what's the best time for cherry tree grafting in zone 9b? Should be in spring, summer or in fall after harvesting the fruits?

I thought, need to wait for the warmer weather. Did i miss the opportunity? My cherry tree buds are coming up everywhere, can i still graft it now or should i wait for more time?

I am not the most experienced but I’d say if your tree is pushing then now is the time to graft, before the weather gets too hot and your graft becomes at risk of drying out.

If I can get a picture of mine I’ll post it.

Any time after growth starts pushing and before it reaches a consistent 85°F+.
