« on: May 05, 2020, 12:46:45 AM »
I have a grape that has almost pink/purple color on the new growth, does anyone know what the variety is?

I dont know, many grape vines tend to have pink new growth, the most intence pink like the one in your photo is the wild american that we use as rootstock for everything here. is your grape grafted?

I found it growing alongside a historical house from the 1800s the other day and the color was outstanding.

it would be great if you could post a photo from the leaves in one/two weeks. Here when in my vineyard some vines are not grafted well sometimes a vine will sprout from the rootstock and you can distinguish them very easily from the formation of the leaves (they look like what you sent) and also they are really really pink. If i am correct the fruit should ripen quite late for a grape and be really small with the seed taking up 50%.

Does it look intentionally planted?
It may just be a worthless wild grape.
