A dwarf paw-paw sounds interesting...
Let me send you a few questions:
Is it monoic?
What´s the fruit and seeds size?
The seeds needs scarification?
Thanks!

Are regular pawpaw typically monoecious?

pawpaw flowers are like most annona flowers, protogynous...meaning each flower is female, then turning male.  So you really only need one pawpaw for fruits...although u might need to hand pollinate...and some are more self fruitful than others....and cross pollination would probably help increase fruit set, but not absolutely necessary to get fruits.

BTW...I've traded with Charles (Rarefruit) many times, and he is one of my favorite person's to deal with!

How big does dwarf paw paw tree become before it dies of old age???

i've never seen them any taller than about 8-10ft...(but maybe I've seen a tree a Leu gardens in full sun about 12ft? not sure if it was parvilfora or triloba...i think it was parvifora though)

they are usually near wet areas, along streams, in the shade...although ive seen some pretty trees in full sun.

from what I understand...they can live a long time...and reproduce by sending up root suckers... and can form a paw paw patch over time... I guess a patch can live for over one hundred years?

Will paw paw grow well and bear fruit in So-Cal (zone 10A) ? Because I read an article awhile ago that paw paw is not for California climate. How long will it take from seedling to bear fruit?

Thanks!
