Do you have the orange variety (orange outside, pinkish purple pulp) of sel meg?

Also, any tips on getting them to fruit? I have American Beauty, Dark Star, and yellow sel meg growing on some pine trees. Over 15 -20 ft now, but no flowers yet.

How will you pick fruits if they're that far up the tree? I'm thinking your plant is not receiving enough light exposure or getting too much nitrogen. I've seen one house where they grow it on a pine tree but they keep it low and don't let it crawl up. They get many fruits but I heard people steal them.

trimming your vines back and watering with epson salt should kick them into flower.

Hey,
For the post I used 4inch electrical PVC, for the cross bars I used rebar. And for the length of it I used 10ft  electrical conduit.   I also wrapped the rebar and conduit in garden hose.

Brilliant !  Did you split the garden hose and then dress it on the rebars and tubes?

Yes cut the hose with a razor knife and put it over the rebar and conduit
