Afzelia africana
What kind is it?
There are six important species of Burmese in Africa, namely African Burmese,
Cameroon Burmese (A. bipindensis Harms)
, A. pachyloba Harms
A. bella Harms
A. quanzensis Welw
A. zenkeri Harms
. The first three main producing areas are West Africa and Central Africa, and the last three East Africa regions. Although there are differences in tree species in botany, the characteristics of wood are not much different, and they are generally regarded as the same commodity in trade. The heartwood of these different tree species varies from tan, orange-red to red-brown, with considerable differences.
