Title: Pointed Gourd OR Parval

is anyone growing this vegetable? Would love to get a root or cutting.

there was someone on another board growing these in texas. never got a reply. This is my favorite vegetable.

Looks like you have Coccinea grandis or indica. They reproduce better from a stalk than from seed.

Actually, Trichosanthes dioica, pointed gourd, is different than, Coccinia grandis, tindora. Tindora is certainly common enough in Texas, California, and Florida.  But I have never seen the pointed gourd in the US. Like tindora it is propagated from cuttings. I would certainly like to find it though.

by cuttings do you mean root cuttings or vine cuttings?
