I've got one in the ground luckily it's been there awhile because hard freeze in Dec. zapped all the top leaves but still green on bottom, I think it will come back! Got down to 24-25f in area where it's at!

My Mexicola is in full bloom now has been since second week of Feb. I happen to love them very rich flavor w/some nuttyness, I found a fruit off my mexicola this year was the smallest seed ever, flesh percentage way higher would compare to Hass flesh to seed ratio(I planted that seed!)Now I wait while it grows.
Treefrog, nice information on your hardy avocados thanks for posting. 8)

When I did my graft I just matched the diameter of scion with rootstock. Then wrapped with para-film @ graft (whip graft) then wrapped scion with one layer of para-film. To tell you the truth I didn't bother looking a cambium ::) ;) 8)

Pricey little stove but if you got the dough looks good. I've built the stove in my house and one in my garage but not my G.H. I think if I was to do it all over again I would design one that set down in a sunken channel  in middle of G.H. and with maybe grating over stove and horizontal slightly angled flue up to exit out opposite wall or something ( stove and flue under grating w/some kind of shield over stove & flue so you could have plant's on top of grating)whoa too much work!( spoken by retired weldor)  Just some quick random thought's good luck on your selection

Behl, that suck's what about a very tight weaved fabric like tule I think it's called,  like used for wedding veil's. If you can find supplier with roll and buy enough to wrap tree, like  lolipop! Like my wife say's 'dam nature".

Nice post of video of grafting passiflora, I did one last year I had a passiflora edulis seedling and a friend had a big fruited passiflora edulis, so I took a tip cutting home this was last Feb. and did a whip graft and wrapped in para-film. Also I cut all the leaves off and wrapped scion in para-film it took and I planted out side but it did not make it thru our cold winter event! I was surprised that it took first of all now I just need to find hardier rootstock. I don't see why flavacarpa   wouldn't go onto passiflora edulis which is mush hardier than flavacarpa.
