Murici = nance or nancy. I have that and it doesn't look like Luc's photo. But i don't know what it is. Is it supposed to be an edible fruit?

Luc not knowing about nance is about as likely as Oscar not knowing about Kilauea.

Hi Oscar,
There is a bunch of murici species... i reckon it's still in the same genus of Byrsonima :) They look similar...maybe Luc can shed some light on the ID of this fruit tree :-\

I found when I pictured and tried to identify wild fruits it was very hard.I pictured a couple of dozens types from many sites and found they were too hard to identify.

None of the Byrsonima species i've seen so far have that little cap on top of the fruit shown in Luc's photo.

I though of Solanum, too. More specifically, it reminded me of Solanum lycocarpum, which in Brazil is called Fruta de Lobo, Wolf Fruit.

Apparently, it's bitter and might not be very healthy to eat.

Olá Sérgio,
When i was researching them pics of Solanum sp. on Google images...I also found Lobeira, but the fruit is too big. Then on the same day, i had some free time...I went on Fruitpedia, to research some stuff and came across, Cordia Africana, which the fruits look similar. I bet Luc's fruit is in the Cordia genus.
