Palmyra are massive palms. Do you have room for them ,you need more than one Borassus flabellifer they are  dioecious. They seem to like damp soil for best growth.I have 10 and largest trunk  is just shy of 4 feet thick in the dampest soil in the row. Also they have long juvenile time mine are 18 years old at least, and only one has flowered 2 times in row and it's male must be over 30 feet tall

Hey Shot, where did you get the seeds or trees 18 yrs ago? I wanted to try those palms myself. 18 years is a bit worrisome but oh well.

Back then you had to seek out the palm kooks, you know like us fruit kooks ,strange breed you had to convince them to take your money as the palms were like a child to them they .
Now you can find seed on ebay from india or sri lanka
Still they have long juvenile period some take 25 years! But beautiful to look at while they are growing.

They grow like weeds over here in Uganda . Could send seeds. But they are a bit heavy.

Mvule101, would they make the journey to California ok? I don't mind the shipping as long as they have a chance to grow properly. I also don't want to waste money on something that isn't fresh or hard to germinate. Thanks
