Title: Eugenias

I am really interested in eugenias.  They are a good size for my back yard and I love how they look.
They are not the easiest to locate, so, I would like to I would to narrow varieties I want to purchase.
Currently I have corg nelita, savannah cherry, pitomba, grumichama, e. Ligustrina, rainforest plum, a couple pitanga's,  and cedar bay cherry.
Any recommendations on other varieties to add?
I am pretty, only interested in eating fruit out of hand.  Not interested in making a juice or anything like that.

Not mine. I have 4 different species and all are very good, sweet and big. Even araça una is very good!   :P

When it comes to Eugenias believe only half of what you see and very little of what you read. If you have large black unifloras covered hen pyriformis x luescens and pitomba as well as itaguensis should be on he hit list and oh yeah lutescens also.

Is ligustrina any good?  Seems like it fruits a ton, but tiny fruits.  Also interesting in picking up some more eugenias. I grow a few of the more common ones you listed and also our natives here in FL.

People seem to like patrisii.  Anyone grow repanda?

it tastes good but very small fruit...at first i thought it was piney but the trick to eat these is to wait until they're dark red...found a plant the other day that had slightly bigger fruit and ripens to black. that one is sweeter.
