Here is mine, it has about 5 months and started flowering about 3.5 months after planting. It is growing in an Orange tree, I've already pruned it many times as it's a very agressive vine.

About 2 or 3 days if harvested still "hard"

Luc,

I got seeds planted for about 2 months (not from you) but no sprout for the moment. Do you know how long does it takes to sprout? Eugenia victoriana seems to be quicker as it has been sow at the same time and is already 7 cm high...

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: I got bananas....I got bananas!!!!

A fertilizer like 10-2-20 (depends of your soil if it lacks something...) will be appropriate as your K/N ratio for banana must be close to 2 especially when the bunch start to go through the trunk. Like Oscar said a good amount of potassium will provide more, longer, and heavier bananas. 50 grs of fertilizer twice a month will give you a good result.

Phosphore is really needed when you plant banana for the roots establishment. Add some (50 grs) 18-46-0 when you plant a sucker for example.

Same here in Martinique, no rain, a lot of wind. Fortunately i've added some charcoal powder to my pot subtrate to keep it humid longer. Rain is expected for the the next week.

Banana really need K before flowering and when the bunch is ripening. It react good with both type, choride or sulfate but sulfate form is much much more better for the soil. For banana you typically have to add 700 Units of K/ Ha. Another very good form of K with slow release is called Sulpomag or SPM. Natural rock containing Sulfur,, Potass and Magnesium.

That "tube culture" technique is very interesting Luc but I wonder how your friend cultivate them (especially for stability because it is very high and not very large) and unpot them and plant them (I imagine that such a long rootmass may be fragile)...

Did you find them? I'm also searching for Jolo seeds
