Welcome to the forum! For big trees I would reccomend excalibur fruit trees down in west palm beach... Pine island nursery in Miami also has large trees. I know that you dont want to wait that long for fruit, but smaller trees establish faster and grow faster than larger trees(25 gallon and up)

Call Green's nursery in Apopka FL. They can also get you large trees. Prices are very reasonable too (i.e. cheaper than most nurseries in C. Florida)

Hi
I highly recommend Julian Lara. He is a good friend. A bit crazy. He have over 50 avocado varieties. (The only requirement to be a colectionist is to be some what crazy, because this is sickness without cure )

Would you care to hear an opposing point of view?
I can't imagine that you're like eighty years old and afraid you might die before your trees produce fruit!  Anyhow seriously...we've had this discussion repeatedly over the years about planting large trees vs. say 3-gallon trees.  Fruit trees generally grow like mad in Florida due to all the heat, rain, and humidity, and small trees with their superior root systems and their vigor catch up to larger trees in a few years.  (But of course, you have to take good care of them, and not just stick them in the ground and expect them to grow.)  Think of how the roots of a large tree are crammed in a pot for several years with nowhere to spread.  Maybe you'll get fruit one or two years sooner, but for me healthier trees are much more important.  Furthermore, the joy in gardening is found in watching your trees and plants grow.
Ok, I got that off my chest.  So good luck with your new house and garden, and enjoy the fruit.

Plus the $250 for one big tree plus delivery & planting is money you could spend on buying many more 3 gallon trees!

Just a though. A 4 year old  $250.00 root bound 25 gal tree is not going to do better than a 18 months 7 gal tree.

If it's a dwarf variety I prefer a 7  gal if that's not available I will take a 15 but nothing bigger but if it's a vigorous variety you would be surprised how much it will grow in one season.

This is an M4 I planted this spring it was a three gallon. The mark on the steak is 4 and 1/2 ft that's where I plan on heading it for mowing purposes. I cut off the lower branches

Try “A Natural Farm” located in Howie-in-the-Hills. My go-to near Orlando. Also try Lukas Nursery in Oviedo.

Orlando is not near Lake Worth.  While Excalibur may have 100 - 500 gal trees, I dont recommend them.  You will have a better shaped tree,  a healthier tree and one that produces more fruit faster if you start with a 3 gal or maybe a 7 gal, depending on the size & age of the 7 gal.

Anything bigger than a 25 gal will take more than one person to plant.  A 65gal and larger will take a bobcat and a bitch of a hole to dig.

Do fruit trees in 15gal pots have root bound issues other trees don't?
This year i had 2 dozen 15gal Areca palms & 2 dozen 6gal planted.  All are growing fine.
None of them had roots trimmed, all went in the hole as is & water jetted dirt around them.
Fetilized 1 month later.

Its on a case by case basis, depending on type of plant and nursery.  Its usually more of an issue with fruit trees.

just to add my two cents, i've given up planting anything but a 3 gallon tree for all the reasons mentioned (grow better, faster, easier to carry and plant, cheaper, more control over shape, etc.)

on more than one occasion, i've planted a 3 gallon and a 7 or 15 gallon at the same time and in a few years, the 3 gallon is the better tree. : >)

best,

mike
