thanks, finally got the ID using google. It is  Stemmadenia donnell-smithii
Got that info too :
The Dogbane Family is a big one, and one feature many of its species have is that they're filled with milky white latex. Most plants exuding white latex traditionally are considered medicinal and/or poisonous, and that's the case with Stemmadenia donnell-smithii. The latex has been used to reduce swellings, cure external tumors, and in neighboring Quintana Roo people have been seen daubing the white latex over the breathing holes of parasites that burrow into the skin, suffocating them and making them easier to expel. Chemically, the tree's latex has been shown to contain a number of powerful alkaloids.

I think it is an artocarpus from Thailand. Tree is huge. Fruits are round, small and yellow. Can't remember the name. Here are some fruits collected this morning.

Thanks for the clue. From what I have been able to find on the internet, I reckon it is phaleria macrocapra. If anyone got more info about how to use that particular fruit, please do not hesitate to let us know, thanks in advance.

Just found that tree yesterday with dozens of green fruits and superb white flowers. I don't know what it is and if it is ripe, edible ?
Here are a few pictures. Any ideas welcome.

I have selected the variety " vietnamese white" for commercial purposes and the heaviest fruit I had so far weighted 1,360kg. Average weight is 700-800gr and when I take off fruits from branches and leave only one I usually get fruits around the kilo.
Here is a couple of pictures of my commercial dragon fruit orchard ( vietnamese white ).

Season started a few weeks ago and it is the second wave that is blooming right now. Fruiting will last until mid april here in New Caledonia.

Just got that one from a guy at the local market. He said to me he brought back the seeds from Fiji and it is a fruit tree? It is definitely not a matoa ( fijian longan ) but I just can't put an id on it . Any help and comments welcome.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Sugar Apple variety big red ?
« on: January 10, 2018, 05:08:38 AM »
About 3 years ago, I have bought 50 seeds of the " big red variety" from Adam, flying fox fruits nursery. Most of them have germinated pretty well and I have planted about 30 trees from those seedlings last year. This year (3 years later) I got most of them fruiting ( about 15 fruits per trees, hand pollinated for most of ) but unfortunately i can't see a single red one so far and most of are actually kind of purplish instead while a few are green or greyish and look pretty normal actually. I have planted last year a small sugar apple orchard among many others orchards with about 120 sugar apple trees. Most of the sugar apple trees I have planted in that orchard come from seeds I have purchased from different sources and countries over the years. I only have about 10 grafted trees ( seedless variety from the Philippines ) I brought back myself from the Philippines last year. Anyway, I just love that fruit and I am a little bit disappointed to do not have a single red one yet. May be the color is still going to change as they are still not fully mature yet. But right now they look purple to me and already got similar color variety in the collection. Anyway, will definitely know within a few weeks time but until then, please let me know what you think about it. Does that big red variety comes true to seed or not ? Here are a couple of pics to give you a better idea of what I am talking about.

A good friend of mine has just found that fruit tree visiting a farm in the north of New Caledonia. It seems to have been planted there years ago but no one at the farm knows who planted it , what it is and where it comes from. Anyone could help me identifying it ? Thanks in advance for your help and happy new year and best wishes to you all.
