California grown mango is basically a mirage in that , how many people grow Mango’s to fruition in CA ? Versus Florida. There is more Mango’s on the ground at Fruit and Spice Park on a day in July than the entirety of the CA mango harvest. If you can succeed fruiting Mango in CA it’s definitely going to taste that much sweeter.

I’ll take a mediocre realtor over one who is completely and totally full of shit any day of the week but selling property in Florida, maybe there is somewhere with over 5’ in elevation without an HoA.

978
I’ll have some available during Cherimoya grafting season in April.

979
Never seen seeds available anywhere.
Very uncommon.

Sheet mulching with large cardboard from furniture Stores and a truckload of woodchips on top.
Cheapest and best way to not eventually release micro plastics into your soil.

I’ve never met anyone who grew this from seed or seen a fruit.
I have it grafted on C. edulis and it is slow growing and dwarfed.
Can share a scion or 2.
I believe any C. Edulis with any amount of fuzzy leaves (like Suebelle) has some C. Tetrameria hybridized in it.
My tree flowered this year but did not hold fruit.
I remember reading the fruit is not as appreciated as C. Edulis.

You can buy extremely good Durian from Year of the Durian, she is a member here on TFF and get’s the best Durian from the best farmer’s. Highly recommend it.

I hope I get to taste one before I die.

Professional Gaslighting! Thanks for shitstorming and walking away. Actually your facts are incorrect. Your lack of factual evidence , complete. Your reason for being a kook, unknown. My desire to argue with crazy people that are close minded and always right, zero.

Wow, what an immense shitstorm of contradictions and imamturity this has become. I personally find it quite funny that such things can happen from mere words on a screen.

Listen to what you what to listen do, its not my problem what you choose to do, but learn to take a little criticism and factual evidence. For example, just because some guy said that going vegan is going to save animal lives lied to you. Everything you eat will always come with a death toll for something other than a plant. If you are doing it because you believe its healthier that's also incorrect, but again i' m not going to tell you how to live your lives.

Now then, this is enough negativity for me, have a good day everyone.

Real talk right there. Thanks for thinking of us in that moment though I figured it would be a tease in the end. Your right, it’s not worth it, gotta just eat and share with friends and family all you can get .

988
But some people selling seeds have told me they taste really good. Haha

989
They taste very good! I may have some extra seeds before too long.

Yes , I still have cuttings available.
Hand pollination is not necessary, they readily set fruit.

995
I think they are good to go. Send me a PM and let me know how many you’d like.

All of this lady’s posts I find idiotic but this one was certainly more offensive and thoughtless than most. I try to skip over her posts , I find them so stupid .

Mike Bender was an original. One of a kind.
Glad I got to meet him and it is clear his charisma and personalty touched alot of people.
I’m glad he got to do what he loved with the fruit tree’s and share the joy of exotic fruit tree’s with all kinds of folks. Gone but not forgotten.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Pitangatuba vs Pitomb
« on: June 06, 2020, 12:20:08 AM »
Everyone’s taste buds are different.
You gotta keep tasting new things to find out whether you like them or not.
Some like it hot, some not. Variety is where it’s at though! Grow lots of different foods and flowers .
I’ve had Pitangatuba’s I like a lot and some that were a bit too sour for me. They seem to vary greatly from seedling to seedling. I’ve killed the Pitomba’s I’ve tried to grow, not the right weather for them in Northern California I suppose.

Yes,I have to make sure the cuttings are hardened off and not green first. I’ll check and update this weekend.

Are you sure the assholes weren’t raccoons ?

I planted some purple sweet potatoes cuttings on the sidewalk infront of my house.  Some asshole stole it.
They dug the topsoil off  where I planted the cuttings.
