I have 2 trees, doing ok, just got blooms, but the wet spring / summer is surely going to cause anthracnose and powdery mildew.

I need to beef up my spraying.

How old are your trees and is this the first year they are producing?

I have a tree, but still small. It's not gonna have fruits for a couple of years, i guess. It's on another orchard i have in Hamakua, so not gonna get lava flowed over either! Whew.

My oldest was planted from a 3 gal May 2016. Another one last year. I have two freshly grafted ones ready to be planted soon.
The oldest is 7 ft tall, the first to flower, and large enough to hold fruit if the rains let up.

Oscar, Happy to hear that you, your family and farm are not affected by the lava. How old is your sweet tart?

“Frank” (your avatar and screen name are hilarious) hope the rains subside. Do sweet tart have descent diseases resistance to your knowledge? Please let me know how your first crop tastes :)

Still small, less than 2 years old.

I am told these are among the better performers under humid conditions.
