They are really sub tropical with the areas around Chang Rai and Chang Mai most suited. The trees get 150 ft high.

It would take a long time for trees to get big I guess.

I think it also takes 10s of years to start producing nuts. I looked into growing it before too, after seeing the size of those nuts.
