This is growing out in the middle of what was an old Orange Grove

Don't tell me I should pick it and eat it because I had to cross the gunline to get that photo :)

I think this is Cereus Repantus aka Peruvian apple , it is edible !

I think this is Cereus Repantus aka Peruvian apple , it is edible !

Thanx for the tentative ID, Plantinyum.

But is this cactus fruit particularly tasty, I'm wondering?  Or is there much variation in the flavor of the fruits between individual plants of C. repantus?

Its good, good selections can taste as good as a good dragon fruit.
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.
