What happened to my sugar apple?
« on: April 27, 2019, 11:32:36 PM »
Hi,
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my sugar apple tree?
It was fine a few days ago. It is not a lack of water.  Thanks

That plant is not recently transplanted?

I would guess poison if that tree isn't newly moved. Round Up?

The plant have been there since January 2018.
No roundup or herbicide were used around here.

About twice a week.  The soil is very fast draining.
This is the drier side of the yard. I have other small
sugar apple trees nearby. Never seen this problem before.

Do people walk their dogs on that sidewalk?
Concrete heats up and radiates?

The sugar apple plant is inside the yard. The chain link fence behind it
keeps dogs outside. Concrete does heat up but have not affected other sugar apple
trees in similar position.

I would say it looks like the roots are not able to supply enough water to the leaves. That could either be some sort of root issue, or a very blazing hot period of weather. It might benefit from just a tiny bit of shade cover of some sort.
