« on: April 30, 2019, 07:15:57 PM »
What attributes to flower drop on young Annona squamosa? Some flowers while still small, turn black and fall.

Thanks.

The plant rejects the flowers ,probably because its too young.

In my yard I have noticed the trees start setting fruit around now although
there has been flowers for over a month? I thought the heat and humidity
were the issue? I have been experimenting with hand pollinating this Spring also.
There have been plenty of bugs. If you don't get fruit set you may consider
hand pollinating? I have also seen those small flowers that dry up but my trees
are over 5 years old and have allot of flowers in different stages. I was hoping to
figure out how to hand pollinate and get more even spaced production and one
tree in particular has never fruited
