This fruit is an odd shape and color, it set in the middle of a freeze but has gotten bigger. I think it's Sugar loaf or white jade, but it doesn't look like I remember those fruits looking. Any help with the i.d. would be great.
Also I'm always looking for different pineapple varieties and would be happy to trade slips. Thanks!
I'm getting ready to prune back to Guava Mango (Sein ta lone) and I hate to see the cuttings all go into the trash. If anyone is looking for this variety message me. Just pay shipping US only. I'll probably prune this weekend.
If anyone has some venus scions they could part with I'm looking for it.
Hello Friends, Dr. Anderson and I have some exciting seeds we would like to make available to the community! Please place your orders in the link attached and we will follow up with you! Plinia phitrantha tree that produces a white(green) fruit. Is precocious fruiting in about 5 years from seed. Easily container grown, I believe the one I have is in a 10 or 15 gallon container. Fruit is very sweet. Packs of 5 seeds including shipping inside the US for $30.
I have a very limited amount of Plinia Phitrantha Seeds. The exact variety is still unknown, but the fruits are large, purple and delicious! Flavor is in between Sabara and Red. Skin is on the thicker side. Foliage is beautiful! PM if interested. Seeds are $5/seed 5 seeds minimum and $5 shipping.
I have Plinia Phitrantha "Vino Branca" (Otto Andersen) seeds available for $5 per seed Min 5 seeds and $5 Shipping. I have really struggles to grow this variety from seed in the past, and caution everyone who is interested that this variety tends to be difficult to grow from seed. That being said seeds are available. I am experimenting on soil mixes that I think will help the seeds succeed, and I tend to believe that this variety needs very well draining soil, even more than other varieties.
Scarlet Jaboticaba is easily the most precocious plinia I have found fruiting from seed reliably in about 3 years. The fruits are like a slightly sweeter red jaboticaba. They are pretty tasty as earlier stages of ripeness, however the skin doesn't thin entirely until they are fully ripe. Seeds are $5 per seed with $5 Shipping inside of the US. 5 Seed minimum. I will be sending out seeds starting next Monday October 1st. PM with orders.
I am going to be taking a trip down to Zill High Performance Plants this week and want to see if anyone would be interested in ordering trees. I am only going to be getting 3gal. trees. Trees are $35 and I am asking for %50 of the total order paid up front. Please feel free to message me to set up an order! I accept paypal and Venmo. I have attached the variety list from ZHPP. I can arrange local delivery within 10 miles for an additional fee, but otherwise trees will be available for pick up at my nursery in fern park, between Casselberry, Altamonte Springs and Maitland.
I picked these off of a friends tree in central FL yesterday. They didn't know the variety. I looked and thought maybe florigon, but i'm not sure. All the seeds I have opened up have been really tiny taking up a maximum of 1/4 of the seed husk. I appreciate any help!
A friend gave me this fig last year before he moved up north. He had a story about this fig having origins in the holy land and somehow being connected to religious figures. In any case I've never kept figs before and have no idea what I have on my hands. I'd love to hear anything about this fig! Thanks!
