Update of my melons....the tendrils dried so I yanked a couple this morning...I cut into the flesh and was expecting a more darker color orange...they weren't as sweet as expected...I think the vines rotted before the fully delevoped..but still sweet enough to eat....the first pic is of one I pulled a couple days ago...the others are pics of the melons pulled this morning....

I just remembered my grandfather used to pickle the watermelon rinds. In the good olde days they took advantage of everything. Me, from the me generation, i have yet still to try making watermelon rind pickles.

Watermelons have a lot of nutrition spread across the whole spectrum of nutrients. Most people think it's just water, but that's not the case. Remember reading an article saying that watermelon is better for your health than spinach. It's also great for women that are about to give birth...eases labor. So there's something to the saying "she looks like she swallowed a watermelon".
Watermelon is also a great way to come off complete food fasting
