Araza with sour carombola could be good. Araza with a small amount of lovi lovi is pretty good. We make araza jam with 10 cups of araza to 6 cups sugar.
Where are you located in CR?

Araza like guava fruit has a lot of pectin. I make araza jam by  :  1  Wash fruit  well   2. Cut in half    3 Cook with some water in pressure cooker to make them soft 4. After cooling , mash the fruit and pass through a sieve to remove the seeds.  Discard the seeds.  5. Measure volume of filtered material and add equal volume of sugar.  6. Cook under fire untill the mixture thickens with the jam consistency.  7. Fill in glass jars.
When cool store in refrigerator.  Thicker the jam, it lasts longer

In my experience you can simply cut the fruit in half, scoop out the seeds that are concentrated in the center, and cut up the pulp with the skin. Then add the fruit and sugar and cook. I used to produce araza jam commercially and we did a lot of experimenting. You don’t need as much sugar as you’d think. 6 parts of sugar to 10 parts of fruit.

for araza jam, we bring barely to a boil, if it cooks beyond that for even a very few minutes much flavor is lost

To make a jam using araza and another fruit, here's a recipe you can try:

Araza and Mango Jam Recipe:

Ingredients:

    1 pound araza fruit
    1 pound ripe mangoes
    2 cups granulated sugar
    1/4 cup water
    Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions:

Peel and chop the araza and mangoes.
Combine the fruit in a large saucepan and add the sugar, water, and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the fruit starts to break down and release its juices.
Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and reaches a jam-like consistency. This should take about 30-40 minutes.
Remove from heat and let the jam cool slightly.
Transfer to sterilized jars and seal tightly.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

Note: You can adjust the amount of sugar depending on your taste and the sweetness of the mangoes. You can also try other fruits such as pineapple, guava, or passion fruit instead of mango.
