repotting Miracle Berry plants
« on: December 17, 2015, 01:19:42 AM »
I was wondering when I should repot my Miracle berry plants as the roots are growing through the drainage holes, the plants are about 2 years old.

how big is the plant compared to the pot? It will send down a long tap root if it's a seedling. I would repot if:
1. the plant is not young and the same size as the pot
2. the plant is young but not in a tall pot. put it in a pint sized pot to until it gets bigger

It also really depends on your climate. If it rains a lot there, you can have a smaller pot with a bigger plant, since it will get enough water and even absorb water from the air. If it's dry there, it needs to get all the water from the soil, so you need to give it more pot space. The wind will only take away water. This is true in general.
