Luisport I would post pictures on Tuesday, so you can tell me if this is myrtle.

I have a common myrtle from Spain but this one is moderately resistant to the cold.
While the other plant whose seeds I had collected in a park seems much more resistant to the cold.
But I still have a doubt as to whether it is a myrtle plant because I had never seen a resistant myrtle in the area.

Your myrtle plant resists to what temperature?
I think all myrtle is very cold resistent... i never got any problem... but i don't know how much cold hardy he is.

I already have big fruit myrtle and we make liquor with it... it's our best liquor, really good!

Well you arrived too late. I already dispached all my pods. If you want tell me next year by October.

Do you have seeds?
Not now. I already dispached everything.

Chalchal is here!

SAPINDACEAE

Its fruit is very sweet and the leaves and thin twigs are also used to counteract liver detoxification, also as a refresher and for tereré. It is cultivated in some places as an ornamental.
It is a dioecious tree that reaches a height of between 4 and 7 meters, although sometimes it reaches 15 meters. It is native to Argentina, Brazil, Guyana, Bolivia, Uruguay, and Paraguay. It grows at Buenos Aires too, in the riverside forests up to Punta Lara.
Reddish-brown trunk, scaly bark.
Compound, trifoliate, alternate leaves, glabrous, toothed leaflets, with short pedicels and sometimes even sessile.
The flowers are small, whitish, about 2 mm in diameter in clusters; the male flowers with the filaments of the hairy stamens; female flowers have trifid stigma. It blooms in August and September.
The fruit is a globose croup between 7 and 11 mm in diameter, yellow in color, turning red when ripe. Ripening is in clusters and uneven, notorious because the different fruits are seen with different colors. It bears fruit from September to November.

I sell fresh seeds in vermiculite and can do bulk shippings, cheers

I have one Chalchal small tree growing outside, so it's cold hardy too.

Another indication of just how powerful Sally has become is the fact that it has sucked the water (almost) out of Mobile Bay. DO NOT go out into the bay as this will quickly rise once the storm leaves.

TWC says up to 3 feet possible in Pensacola…

969mb now!

@webberweather

Seeing inbound velocities on the Mobile, AL radar of up to 110-115 knots about 3,500 ft AGL in the NE quad of #Sally’s eyewall atm. Standard reduction + gusting places #Sally’s current intensity ~95-100 kts, & potentially supports an upgrade to a category 3, major hurricane.
