At my local store, maybe yours, too. Also, good buys on weed killer.

Outdoors OK, depends on your soil analysis.  I have a friend with a large tropical fruit orchard near Poway and he took my recommendation for this one. It has the 5-1-3 NPK value that citrus loves.

I agree with Mark.  Jack's 25-5-15 W/TM is the fertilizer I use on citrus.  Does a fantastic job.   6-4-6 nutrient value is quite low.

Wal-mart = Junk. I haven't been in one of those stores in years.

I gave a friend two Mazzei injectors and he's loving it.

My main fertilizer that I use on everything is a slow release food either Polyon brand or Osmocote.  Case in point, this Reed avocado tree froze back to a stump and since March of this year, 7 mos., has grown to over 10' H by about 10' wide.  Food? Polyon 12 mo. 18-4-9 with micros and rainwatered.

New multi grafted/variety cherimoya is in front of it.

Millet, if you're not using RootBuilder bottomless "pots" aka raised beds....you're missing it.  ;)

Wow Mark, that's unbelievable growth!
You can almost hide under the canopy already... :D
Any major difference between Polyon and Osmocote, beside their price and availability
for backyard growers?

Mark, I've used Root Maker 100-ft. air root pruning rolls for many years.  A really great way to make containers of any size.  For those that are not familiar with this product, containers of any size can be made from these rolls by simply cutting off a length of the roll to match the container size desired..

Apparently Polyon releases based on soil temperature in addition to moisture content.  Osmocote based on moisture only.  I've used this one for years on literally 1,000's of hand planted field Christmas trees, fruit, nut, shade, vineyard, etc.  when first putting them into the ground.  Greenhouse too.

Here's a similar food with an excellent NPK and micros value very similar to my Polyon.  8-9 month. https://www.greenhousemegastore.com/supplies/fertilizer/osmocote-pro-19-5-8-50-bag-8-9-month. https://www.greenhousemegastore.com/supplies/fertilizer/osmocote-pro-19-5-8-50-bag-8-9-month

Millet, I buy the RootBuilder rolls wholesale and sell it for $3 a panel to Texas growers during our scion exchange meetings.   I have a pot size list by number of panels.  IOW 4 panels = 15 gal.   6 = 30 gal.  10 = 100 gal. etc.  I finish out my trees at 55 - 100 gal.   I have a fine Meyer lemon that's in its original smaller pot and doing very well, holding fruit, in spite of it being hit by 13F this past January.

I also wrap/tie a heavy band of wire around the middle. In time those cable ties break.

BTW, ordered this heater and a concentric combined combustion air kit.  Sterling GG105. $879 shipped, propane kit installed already.  The design and materials used are better than all I have researched. thttp://www.littlegreenhouse.com/resources/Sterling-GG-Specs.pdf

So let me ask a stupid question.  The Jacks fertilizer looks like good stuff, but it's water soluble.  So how would you use it for in-ground purposes?  Wouldn't it leach out quickly?  Wouldn't a granular fert work better?  Thanks,  Ed
