Title: BTFC Fruit Tree Sale (Melbourne Auditorium)
Post by: BTFCnews on March 30, 2013, 09:03:07 AM
It's that time of year again - The Brevard Tropical Fruit Club will be holding its annual tree sale on Saturday, April 27th, held each year in the field next to the Melbourne Auditorium on Hibiscus.  This is your only chance each year to buy many different kinds of exotic tropical and sub tropical fruit trees, many varieties have been cultivated for our local climates and are cold hearty.

Choose from avocados, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, coconuts, grapes, lychees, mangos, mulberries, miracle fruit, passion fruit and many, many more. Demonstrations and classes will be held inside the auditorium as well.

Hot and new this year is the Jaboticaba (Sabara, Red, Yellow, White and Grimel,) available in limited quantities, as well as Star Anise, Oro Negro Avocado and UF One Peach.  Also in high demand are the new mango varieties like Coconut Cream, Lemon Zest, Sweet Tart, and Sunrise.

Don't miss out on this once a year sale.  For more information and lists of available fruit trees, go to: www.brevardtropicalfruitclub.org (http://www.brevardtropicalfruitclub.org).

The majority of the mangoes are available in three gallon size with some culitvars being available in seven or fifteen gal.  At least that's how it's been the past seven years. :)

Eventually the inventory will get posted on the club website (link to it in the original post), currently (Thursday 4/4) it says "COMING SOON! TREE SALE INVENTORY". Usually doesn't show until the week of the sale.

In years past it gave the quantity, variety, pot size and price.

Thanks Oscar!!  But, you should take some credit too!  I think some of rarest and most coveted plants at this sale came from your seeds!!

do they still open up the sale to club members the day before Sat?

If so, I know some forum members who'd want to get club memberships just to get early access to the sale! ;D  (if that's even possible  :) )
