I've been interested in the Joraform tumbling composterhttp://www.boogiebrew.net/gyg/
I was debating this onehttp://smile.amazon.com/dp/B009378AG2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2QQFFX1EWC4Z2&coliid=I3FN10A52EZXC1&psc=1The reviews were quite good but I wanted to see if anyone had one that they loved and recommended. At that price it is hard to not give it a whirl.
A pile in the corner of the yard works well.
HAHAHAHAH If the problem you're trying to solve is sourcing compost (vs "what do I do with all my kitchen scraps"), you may consider tree trimmer mulch. To really make a difference in the soil, you need more than a composter can crank out.You could also go with horse bedding. Lots of adverts on craigs list.Black Kow is great. The Home Cheapo $1.25 bags of compost tend to be of questionable quality.
As appealing as a rotting pile of garbage in the corner of my yard is, I think I am just going to buy compost as needed.
