Red on left standard green on right. Slightly more complex flavor in the red. Smaller fruit.

Not Sweet?........citrus get better with age......You could try sprinkling some epsom salts around the outside and water in.......could make the fruit sweeter.

Shaneatwell finger lime was grown in San Diego. Notice the light red coloration of the fruit. The red pigmentation in Finger Limes is caused by a chemical called Anthocyanin.  Anthocyanin's color is a cold sensitive chemical .  The more cold the redder the fruit.  A Moro Blood orange which also contains Anthocyanin can be grown as a blond orange (no red pigmentation) simply by growing the fruit in a constant warm environment.

It fruits year round so I’ll update this winter but others have commented that it is pink and even used to be called pink by cccpp.
