I grow them , it is an acquired taste , fruits very fast at 40 - 50 cm tall and plentiful a couple of times a year , beautiful dwarf plant , likes lots of water and full sun. Perfect for growing in a planter .

Luc, aren't your fruits light pink instead of those red ones?
I Like flavor but very, very small fruit even smaller than muntiglia  calibura  (Jamaican cherry) and big seed, I would say a shrub for collectors only....

No Raul , they are exactly like in the picture and they are a little over 1 cm . Even though the fruit wont make it in the top 10 best fruits I just love this little tree .

Remind me to take some cuttings of your Imbe when I visit next week .

Like Durian, needs some time to get appreciated.

Speaking of Durian, Do you think I should give it a chance and try to grow it in here ?. I guess i might be too optimistic to grow ultra-tropic plants in the middle of the desert  :-X.

Thanks for limeberry info. I might try to get it.

The fruit is used as preserver for jam and  medicinally for cold/cough. Could be rich in antioxidant, maybe ?! .

Yes Mohd I guess so as is eaten with skin, and usually is were the most  nutrients are concentrated there,  I remember reading that most of the vitamin c on tangerines is on the white cottony fiber,  most people trow this away....

Yes, it's a very pretty little tree. Not everyone likes it that tries it but it sells in my nursery. We never pick a bunch of fruit but browse it when walking by. It almost always has some fruit.

This tree grows all over very wild in the drier islands of the Caribbean. I tried it a few times but in my opinion it isn't worth very much effort to grow there are far better fruits out there. We cut them down at Christmas for their red berries as ornamentation.

I have a single tree and look forward to see it fruit. It is more than 50cm by now - I remember Ken Love liked it.?!
