My father planted this seedling hass about 8 years ago, it fruited in two years. Then work forced a move for a few years and it was neglected and blown over by a hurricane. I came back this year and started to take care of it again. Then the chickens started to stay under it and coupled with the watering and chicken waste it really sprung to life. It taste just like a store hass avocado but with some sweetness. Thanks for reading.

Yes, he bought the fruit somewhere and planted the seed. It was a precocious tree.

That’s so funny, John. I’ll post new photos once these are ripe and get tasted again, then see if it’s worthy of a name.

Here’s a couple of fruits from the seedling hass. One I thought to have ripened too long but it turned out great. Seed is of a larger size but the flesh is extremely creamy. You can eat it before the skin turns brown, as long as it’s soft. Skin is thick, easy to peel or scoop out.

Interesting. Over the years you’ve had the chance to observe this tree, How would you describe the production compared to other abocado trees you’ve seen down here? 1-2 being Poor, 3 being average, 4 being “good”/above average, and 5 being “heavy”.

White meat, kind of like the legendary creamhart avo.

It’s been average with minimal to non existent care. Next year we should be able to know better.

Here’s another size comparison photo. I think one is a Brogdon and the other is unknown, from neighbors, classic Floridacado taste.
