My Pitangatuba seedling’s roots broke.
« on: April 25, 2020, 12:13:40 AM »
Hello, I recently recently received a Pitangatuba, When I trans-planted it to a semi-larger pot, Some of its roots broke! It still has some small roots left, but I need to know will it bounce back or did I screw up? I have replanted it in the pot I was going to put it in.

I actually just bought my first Pitangatuba about a week ago, so I can't really comment on how sensitive the plants are, but it should be fine. Keep it out of the hot sun for a while. Maybe mist the leaves once and a while, since it might struggle to get the water it needs with less roots. I wouldn't fertilize until you start seeing growth. Good luck.

Sounds like good advice to me.
With TLC it should be fine.
I've seen sprouting seeds snap off their first root ... only to send out a second with success.
They are determined to live!

Funnily enough, the next day after this happened the plant already has a firm root after yesterday.  Thanks!
