Here is a good article from the university of California about the advantages and disadvantages of Bordeaux Mixture (copper Sulfate & lime). According to this article, Bordeaux Mixture is more active, last longer in the environment and more effective than fixed copper sprays.

I usually use Neemicide (neem extract) to control spider mites but if your situation is really bad then deltamethrin or Bifenthrin will be a better choice.
