I get these pictures from my friend in India, who found it in kerrala jungle.
He is not sure about the name of the plant and he assume it is some sp. of wild fig can anyone help with the recognition/identifying?
A week ago he tasted the ripe fruit which was moderately sweet (no hint of sourness), aromatic, less juicy.
The outer of the ripe fruit was greenish yellow with inner flesh with orange-pink/ orange-rose colour.
Also some of the local people were not recommending him to ate it, as not safe. He ate 3 fruits and havent feel any bad.
He is not able to go there again for now as the forest department banned journey through the jungle road for 4 months (due to breeding season of the tigers and wildlife census).
