A  cam is a good idea.
Nope they also eat foliage & a picture would show that only easy accessed parts are bothered.
I have heard ( no pun) that ultrasound may work.
I  need get more info on this .

On east Maui have had great success growing Luc’s garcinia except for heavy defoliation of all exposed outer leaves.
Has anyone found a way of stopping this . Should be noted Hori bat is an endangered animal

Thanks oscar i shall try that. I was going to use a watercolor brush. Perhaps try both. Have go to do something as one tree is like a flower machine . The rest no comparison .

8
Ants love the flowers & a wasp hive within 4 feet. No pollenation !  Apparently east maui has NO BEES!

Everything is growing very vigorously right now with flushes of blooms. Unfortunately, still did not see any insects for pollinating. Some plants had not flowered before but are blooming now. So progress is being made but not in the pollination.

Just found the first tree to flower ( which was when the thread started) & is reflowering with many more buds/blooms. Seems as if two flowering times on Maui.

My best ( most flowering tree) seems to just now be finishing.
Over these several weeks have never seen any insects!
So no surprise no fruit.
Have two other trees that had few flowers but the best one had well over one hundred. Hope this will not prove to be a problem but not encouraging
