I bought a Thompson seedless grape vine today that is about 6 ft tall with blossoms all over. It is in a 5 gallon pot. If I plant it in the ground now will I loose the chance of getting grapes? Should I leave it in the pot until Fall and then plant it? I’m really hoping to get fruit of it.

It was cut this year?

I have no clue. It doesn’t say.

Is Thompson self-fertile?
My experience is very limited but I would say get it in the ground ASAP and be prepared to keep it properly watered.
I would guess that it will not hold fruit unless it had been a much bigger vine and was cut back to sell.
How thick is the main trunk?

Probably a little less than 1/2 inch. I have another one that is the same but not near as tall. How long do you have to grow them before you get grapes?

I'd leave it in the pot to avoid transplant shock. Definitely put it in the ground after it goes dormant in the winter.
