I saw this is how Pete kanaris germinates his jabos, I bought mine off amazon search germination humidity dome or some variation of those words. I purchased the Jabo sampler from the for sale section recently from FLNATIVE which was an incredible deal to not just sample the various flavors but also to plant the seeds! Just bought some azeda seeds or plinia oblongata tonight from achetadomestica also in buy section to add to the dome.

Good luck

Joe

That's basically what I want to do, ive germinated them in vermiculite then planted in small pots and they never thrive, then die.

What soil mix are you using?

I germinate all my jaboticaba and Eugenia (well all of my seeds) in a closed container containing barely damp coco coir.  For the container think a tupperware type, I will post a photo tomorrow.  This method has worked very well for me, and if the seeds are good I will get 80% or better germination rates.
