Home depot has had the red ones intermittently here in Florida

I have a Kandrian fruiting now that was topped by hurricane Irma. It was 20' but now 8' pushing a small bunch. We cut a sister plant bunch that was 60+ lb before we left. I'm curious to see how they turn out. I'll post a picture tomorrow

If you have any extra I'd love to buy some. I lost the one I had in the hurricane & these are hard to find?

I have a few sitting outside in pots here on Pine Island.  Our recent low was 42 , also full sun. They show no stress at all. Similar size, we probably bought seeds at the same time.

Picked up some really beautiful plants from dwfl today. If anyone is in this corner of the world, he has some beautiful garcinias for sale. Achacha, sweet madrono, acuminata, intermedia & Luc's.  Also had cupuasu.

I've had it here on Pine Island now for about a year. The plants have flowered but not set fruit. I don't think my plants are large enough. Tallest one is 3-4'. Lowest temp around 40.

Curious as to what your cempedak reading is? The fruit was fantastic. Btw everything arrived & survived in 11 days. Your farm is spectacular & can't wait to visit again in the future. Thanks for everything!

All seeds I've planted have germinated. Planted back in the super heat and rain Aug/Sept

Will be traveling to Costa Rica the 19th of this month staying around Arenal and Puerto Viejo.  Can anyone offer advice on the best way to make the most of my small seed lot permit? Also is there a way to ship out plants? I haven't talked to the usda personally yet. I'm wanting to max out the limits of what I can ship/carry/pack legally. Any advice appreciated.  I've an approved permit for all allowed taxa (thanks for the advice luc)

Anyone have any decent size lemon drop mangosteen, luc's or know where to buy? Any leads appreciated.  Please pm me

I have a bunch of small plants

I also accidentally discovered how great bananas are for bringing an area to life. I have less than an acre. Literally nothing but sand and grass. I'd absolutely leave the mat. I've tried pigeon peas and perennial peanut, but bannas can't be beat for biomass and ease where I am. It'll break down and continue to feed and improve your soil.

Hi Lisa
AWESOME!
Can you describe the taste?

Mike

I've heard there are different kinds. Taste of these was great? Really reminds me of apricot/mango/peach blend. No bitterness, strange flavors or aftertaste. I wish I had Jared's descriptive skills. Super juicy and the skin is sweet, pops like a grape when you bite into it.

Not my trees but at a friend's place on the island? Pretty sure grown from seed, had some newer grafted ones also. I'll ask about the age next time I'm there.
