I have been waiting for my broadleaf papaya fruit to ripen for months so I can pass on seeds to those people who requested them.It is just starting to show some yellow. One Texan in particular has been waiting patiently. This is a pure bisex specimen with red veins in the leaves, large sweet red fleshed fruit and very hark purple
Yes it is an abiu behind and the fruit was picked today even though mostly green. It is a bit over 7lbs.
They are firmer, thicker and have redder flesh than regular red fleshed papaya and they keep for longer without rotting as well. This one was chopped a bit early so not as red as it could have been.
