haha ya we had to prop up some of the branches, cause they were tending towards a potential break. In my experience the LZ takes 3 - 4 years to really come into bearing, but it's worth the wait :-).
LZ is better than PPK both in size and flavor. LZ's can get fairly big -- 1.5+ pounds a pop.
I don't water. In fact, I haven't even watered the grass in my front yard in several years. I just have some drip irrigation for my potted trees and the jabos. But, that may change shortly, as I'm working on a new irrigation setup.
I also don't fertilize. Just gads of tree trimmer mulch -- about a 6 inch layer once every 12 - 18 months.
The one and only thing I did was spray with OMRI listed copper on a 2 week schedule. Being inland and next to a freshwater canal, fungus is rampant here. The majority of the mango trees along our canal actually DIE slow and prolonged deaths from fungal infection (mostly powdery mildew it appears). Each leaf flush will become infected and drop all leaves before they can harden. After a couple of years like that, the trees will just croak. Pretty nutty.
