Do they do as well here in SoFlo as in SoCal?  At myavocadotrees.com Carlos was evaluating Ismael 1 and Ismael 2 several years ago, but he didn't seem impressed with either.  I've never tasted Monroe, but as far as Choquette and Simmonds go, if they're left on the tree and ripened fully they aren't watery and are flavorful.  No complaints about either.  They're West Indian so not as oily as Mexican/Guatemalan.

carlos miscalculated big time. One crop is not enough to evaluate a fruit. The only thing he got right was that it’s a WI x Guatemalan. Here in SoCal it’s the best west indie cado I’ve had. I personally grew up on west indie avocados so I like them even-thought they are watery and you have to drench them in olive oil and vinegar.

I trust your opinion, Frank.
