I would think Bearss Limes (the common lime found in supermarkets) would be great in mixed drinks.  I had a large in ground BL tree 10" X 10' but I tore it out to plant a Valentine Pummel or I would have sent you some budwood.

Gor the classic lime taste, go with s Persian.  For a heavier yielding and more fruity lime flavor,  go with a Red Lime.

Bearss lime, Persian lime, and Tahiti lime are three names of the very same citrus cultivar.

Yes but being in Florida, I cannot send plant material out of the State.

Countryboy, do you have any experience with red lime variety? Here in Arkansas you don't see citrus or tropical tree's. My best bet is sionwood.
Hardly any chance for that.

Thanks Millet, you are the source!!! I am afraid to get sionwood or tree's from out of state now, with all the greening problems. So i am stuck.

I just got mine recently as they hadn't been exported outside the State of Florida so I don't have a lot of experience with it.   I have had a lot of blooms and some fruit set with this being the first spring in the ground since I purchased it.  Record Buck's citrus in Florida is propagating them and Alabama is one of the few citrus states that permits citrus tree from Florida to be imported.  It was the first time I had seen them available.

The entire State of Alabama is under quarantine also as there was once ACP spotted in the county (none presently known)--no greening has been detected here.  We have hard freezes here which I pray prevents the greening from spreading to our region.  We had a warmer winter this year but still had one night where temperatures plummeted and we hit 20 degrees.
