Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: White sapote dropping its leaves

Thanks a lot for all input! I'll try to let it dry out and will check the roots. Jack: If it is normal that they shed their leaves continously shouldn't the leaves be yellowing or otherwise show signs of age? The leaves that fall off in my tree looks perfectly healthy apart from some dry edges in some of them. Later on I will transplant the tree to a big root pruning container, I guess this will prevent over watering and spiraling of the roots.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / White sapote dropping its leaves

Hi all!

I have a white sapote growing in a pot (living in Sweden that's the only option) that has been outdoors during the summer. When I brought it indoors it first seemed to thrive and started to sprout many new shoots and also there were some flower panicles emerging. But after a about two weeks the flowerbuds fell off and now after about a month indoors the old leaves (and some new that has developed in the last weeks) start falling off. Some of the older leaves become dark and dry at the margins before they fall, but others look green and healthy when they drop. If anyone has some explanations to this I would be very grateful! The tree is about 150 cm high and is planted in a ~15 litre pot. I give the tree about 2 litres of water a week, with an addition of citrus fertiliser.

Cheers,
Henrik

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Casimiroa edulis 'Suebelle'
« on: May 18, 2017, 11:13:27 AM »
Hi,

I wonder if anyone knows if it is possible to get Casimiroa edulis 'Suebelle' in Europe? Or some other self-fertile compact growing cv.? Or do you know if it is possible to get Scion wood from the US?

Kind regards,
Henrik
