Any new information on this jackfruit?

I posted in a similar thread about a day ago. I felt liberated by the "cheaper" greenhouses. For one, I knew it was about extending my growing season but that I would still overwinter in the house. I knew I didn't care if it didn't last, because it was under 100. It came with shelves and was lightweight, for ease of moving ... I needed to buy a new one this past week. Good thing is, this store goes on clearance for their greenhouses right now. 50% off at ... Big Lots, yep I buy my greenhouses at Big Lots. Not a fancy big box home improvement store or nursery. You'd be surprised how my plants continue to grow into November before needing to go in.  Up to you, but you don't need to spend 300.

Could you tell me what brand of greenhouse you bought?

Hello all. So i was looking at some cheap greenhouse options and i found something called the "Flowerhouse Conservatory" greenhouse for about 300 bucks at walmart. It's about 9 ft diameter and 10 ft high. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this as a season extender to add a couple extra months to the growing season? Thanks.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Banana Tree Growth

Does anyone have a secret to banana tree growth?

Thanx.

Well, for me inadvertently trying to kill it multiple times has really done the trick. To be honest, i can't get it to stop  ::)

So just wondering, about how far could i get with trying to grow the regular, non-dwarf variety of acai in a container? What would be thee minimum requirements and how big would it get before fruit or heart of palm? thanks.

10
Thanks! I thought it was done sort of fungus b or something. What do you think are the chances of it holding a fruit to maturity?

11
Hello all! My Pickering has set some fruit! However, the fruit looks like it had red specks? Is that OK?

I'm not sure about this but I've heard that the book "plants from test tubes"  is supposed to be good.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Curry leave sucker/baby plants
« on: June 27, 2014, 08:45:31 AM »
You can most definitely grow curry leaf from the suckers. These aren't seedlings (usually) but grow from the roots, so when you cut the sucker off you will be taking some of the roots. Also, sometimes you have to dig DEEP to find the point where the sucker connects to the rest of the plant so you can find it. Here is a picture of my curry leaf plant that was a sucker of a plant that my cousins had. I separated it, put it in it's own pot, and now it is doing very strong and healthily on it's own and has even begin putting out a very small sucker of it's own (not visible):

I have a bunch of baby food jars and lids for tissue culturing. If you're interested I can sell them to you. I bought them all a while back but never got around to doing any TC.

Thanks, but my parents would feel better buying off a website  :-[

So I'm looking into tc and i'm wondering, the kits that come with "baby food jar caps", what are those? are those literally the caps for the baby food jars? If so, then where am i supposed to get the jar? thanks.

你有種無核荔喔,好吃嗎?自然會豐產嗎?還是要噴一些促進劑?

According to Bing (shiver) translate (which is surprisingly better than google in this instance), this translates to:

Wow ~Rock
You have a seedless Litchi Oh, delicious? do natural high-yield? is to spray a number of Accelerator?

Am I correct in thinking that this translates to:

You have a seedless litchi? Is it delicious? Is it high-yielding?  Did you have to spray any chemicals?

Wow!!!!!  Completely Correct

I guess bing has it's uses then.

I haven't heard of Watchdog....is it like plant finder, but on the internet?

No, the Garden watchdog on daves garden? It's the main site for reviewing nurseries/seed stores on the internet.

Thanks Plantlover...I added my nursery to the list!

Is it waiting for verification or something? I don't see it yet. Just wondering.

More pics!

The mango is clearly blooming now! hooray!

Lemon tree is still blooming strong:

And mulberries! I never realized that ll of these trees were mulberries! So many mulberries everywhere!

Honeysuckle is also going crazy around here.

So a few questions.

Would it be worth it to get a "day" avocado from logees? Meaning, would i actually get some fruit that's at least decent?

Jim Little Plumeria, what happened to the website?

And,

What can i expect from a seed grown pomegranate?

Thanks!!

UNDETECTED!!!

Thermite.

Not trying to melt a steel building undetected.

Well, the chlorine trifluoride would  just kill everything, so no one would notice one little destroyed tree among the carnage.

Otherwise try rememdy?

Chlorine trifluoride. It'll set the ground on fire too and melt everything in it's path but hey, quick results  :P.
