Check out this cool blog from Smithsonian Magazine about a couple of US bikers who have a Cherimoya and Lucuma experience in Peru
Enjoy....FGM

I am probably going to Peru next summer. Hopefully I'll find a few fruit to try.

Definitely would not want to ride a bike through a very smoggy city. Probably equivalent to smoking 6 packs of cigarettes. Lima must be very clean though compared to Delhi. Delhi now is rated the most air polluted city, just beating out Bejing for first time. A very dubious honor.
Seems to me these bkiers didn't do their homework. Very important, especially when biking thru unknown territory.

Kinda funny that these guys pigged out on cherimoyas so badly that they couldn't stand them after a while.  Just goes to show that gluttony is to be avoided, no matter how good the food is!

Also funny that they think that cherimoyas are imported into California. I believe most of cherimoyas are locally grown in southern Cal. And they really believe July is summer in South America??? Little mistake like that could lead to them freezing to death on a mountain pass!

Yeah we have local cherimoya growers. But I also see fruits with Frieda's stickers from Chili.

Sometimes I like to lift fruit stickers and stick them to my wallet just for an occasion like this.
