Foodtown's come from Mexico, pick green fruit does not ripe properly so horrible taste, not impress. There is a fruitstand deli between turn pike and davies road on griffin that have them occasionally.

When I don't really care about the particular fruit, I let them go for $1/pound. If I am in the jakfruit mood, with limited availability I tell my rather pushy clientele that they are $10/pound.  That keeps them at bay.

A sampler?  LOL....if I have a fruit open you are welcome to try it.  I don't really have what you'd call a "sampler", sorry.  I don't keep the fruit around in the fridge or freezer because of its strong aroma. What's opened is eaten immediately.  The rest is tossed in the mulch pile. Your question implies a timidity that might make you an unsuitable candidate for jakfruit cleaning.  It is not for the faint of heart. You have to be driven to want to wrestle a jakfruit.  You sure you are up to the challenge?  You might want to go to Excalibur Nursery and buy some already cleaned fruit to see if you are a jakfruit-ophile or a jakfruit-ophobe.
