Hi George. You seem to be the man I need. I would like to buy a few type of mango scions from you, but I want to make sure they will be the best for my climate. I just bought a farm in southern Brazil in zone 9B/10A. There are two 20-30' mango trees there that the seller said never produced any fruit for the time he owned it. I think part of the problem is Anthracnose as there is a lot of rain when the trees are flowering. I see signs of fungus on all the citrus as well. So this year, I will spray and may even try to protect some limbs from the heavy rain with shade cloth to see if that helps. I also want to try top working the tree with several varieties that will have the best chance for survival. Anthracnose resistant and split resistant, as the temp do briefly drop below 30F every now and then for very short periods. I was thinking of trying Pickering, Coconut Cream and Bailey's Marvel. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I am very new at this and it seems you are the one to talk to.
