Title: Inedible Durio graveolens variety

Hi,
found some huge rock hard Durio graveolens in Borneo.

Obviously not edible. But i can not find out the name. Any ideas?

I dont think its Durio Graveolens. Maybe Durio Singaporensis?

Its similar but D. singaporensis does not seem to grow in Borneo. Also, the trees seemed higher than the 30-35 m listed for singaporensis and the spines are not slender and rambutan- like like in singaporensis. Actually, one fruit in Bako fell on the boardwalk and the spines burried themselves about 1 cm (0.4 inches) into the ironwood. I could not get that deep with my big swiss officer knife. And the National park staff called it a variety of graveolens.
