I just happened to have a bunch of seeds that are random crosses of fruit from persimmon Irvine research station... The unique tasty combinations are endless. The seeds are already planted, in containers but should still be ok and not germinated yet. I could spare like 5-7 seeds , I think I saved about 15-20 total but was hoping to germinate some out.

I got seeds from a hybrid persimmon called nikitaskaya bordovaya. It is a cross between Russyanka and an Asian persimmon. These seeds should bear a new hybrid.

There have been many crosses made recently. Initial crossing as made at a breeding station in yalta Ukraine. Two varieties were released russhanka and the F2 hybrid nikitaskaya bordovaya. Recently crosses were made in the Midwest by some institute but I forgot the name. The seedlings are growing in Kentucky and a few have been setting fruit for the first time last summer. Those are not released yet... So looking like many hardy Asian persimmon crosses will be released in a few years.
