Last week I took a 3 gallon Pickering mango up to Tom at Dodd & Dodd Nursery in Semmes.

Really, thats like just a few miles from my house. How often you make that trip?

I have one other question maybe you guys can answer for me. My dad loves nectarines but it seems like every nectarine tree he buys and plants has fruit that is fuzzy like peaches. I thought at first he must have got somes trees that were mislabeled. He has bought about 8 or 10 trees from different places and everyone of them have come out fuzzy. Surely his luck isn't that bad, or would the nectarines be planted around peaches have something to do with this?

I have a few different tropicals growing in containers. Some of which are a couple of pineapples. I didnt cut the top off a pineapple like you described. I actually twisted the top off and peeled back some of the leaves to expose the roots that are already there. I not sure I understand what you mean by,"I must have one of the largest collection of tropicals over there". I do have several satsumas trees planted in the ground, along with a moro blood orange,2 limes and 2 lemon trees. I only have one mango tree and I just recently planted it in the ground. I know I probally shouldn't have planted it,but I have a nice shelter built for it when cold weather comes and I want to see if I can keep it alive.

I have a cutting that I got off ebay, that is suppose to be a dark star cutting. It bloomed but the bloom doesnt look like any of the other dragon fruit blooms I have seen picture of and it is a dark red color. I will try and post a picture later, but I dont think it is a dark star cutting >:(      Here is the picture

depending on your location I can get you a seedling to trade, or maybe for free if I have seed...this variety is patented so I can't sell  ??? :'( so you get for free or trade from me! but could be a bit different due to pollination I've heard....

Which variety are you saying is patented? The TR Hovey?

YES THIS WAS MY UNDERSTANDING
I thought the only way to get a true TR Hovey was by a tissue culture.

2 Barbados Cherries
Dragon Fruit(yellow,pink delight,american beauty,dark star,& physical graffiti)
Banana's(manazo,ice cream,& dwarf cavendish)
Mai 1 Jakfruit(12 seedlings)

Well I think that is about it, I probally forgot something. I also hope to add a lot more tropicals this spring.
